In late 2017, while we were bringing social ad creation to Mailchimp on mobile, this idea popped into my head. During this time Mailchimp had started an ad campaign about The Brain and how Mailchimp can help you automate your marketing. At the time, we didn’t have a ton in the way of these smart recommendations but we were all exploring ways we might be able to do so.
I had this idea for what I thought was an easy and smart way to help customers create facebook ads based on their recently added products. The scenario for this demo is that a Mailchimp customer that has their online store connected / integrated with Mailchimp, would add new items to their online store. When Mailchimp observed that new items were added, it would batch the product images up into a partially created Facebook ad that the user could then complete and post. The partially created ad would arrive to the user through a push notification.
When the user opened the notification they’d be presented with a bottom sheet housing all of the elements of the ad in a way that felt light and easy to complete. With all of the content in place and the budget selected, the user would then be able to publish their ad right from the bottom sheet.
